Looks very nice darker red. No foam, lower carbonation. Taste starts decent but then quickly turns into the familiar alcohol taste that many beers of this box have. Probably due to some production shortcut to reduce the price, not sure what though. Easy to drink though not very worth it.

12oz can
On the pour 2 fingers of light khaki to tan head formed on a more amber then red body but it looks very similar to the rest: decent if not a bit sticky.
Aroma is full Minhas funk. I'm starting to realize the more "base malt" a style is reliant on, the worse its gonna taste out of this pack. I think they just use extract instead of true base malts. Almost has cheap lager characteristic as well for some reason.
Taste is slightly more beer like than the aroma, but not all that much improved. Taste carries the off flavors, but also has a slight hint of actual caramel malt flavor before a light purely bitter hop comes in before the finish. This isn't a bitter beer, but the hops that are here have no distinct flavor other than a bitterness. Very sweet.
Long finish on this one unfortunately. Not very drinkable. Not quite syrupy feeling but its close.
Overall this was another bad one. See one of my reviews for any of the other real bad malt forward styles of the advent beers, and even the "IPAs".

12 oz can.
Appearance. Dark reddish-brown body with a good off-white head.
The aroma indicates a flawed beer while the flavor suggests this to a lesser extent.
Overall. Poor. DNF

Hazy reddish amber with a modest but lasting off white head, some decent lacing.
The aroma is sweet toasted caramel malt.
The taste is sweet caramel malt, lightly toasted bread, hazelnuts, hints of white grape, finishing slightly dry with a touch of herbal hops.
The body is light/medium, mild carbonation, nicely smooth and very drinkable.
Altogether, this is a tasty and enjoyable take on an Irish red ale..

Appearance: Hazy amber-red in color, with a small, fine-beaded off-white head, which despite its size, persists fairly well. Thick, glass-coating lacing adorns the glass wall in an unbroken, irregular ring.
Aroma: Dark caramel and toasted malt dominate the aroma, there are faint herbal hops, as well.
Taste: The taste opens with dark caramel, roasted malt, and rustic dark bread. There is a mild undercurrent of sweetness from the midpoint of the taste to the end. Towards the finish, toasted nuts present. The dark bread and caramel finish out the taste against a backdrop of earthy hops.
Mouth feel: Quite smooth and pleasant, with a little sting of carbonation.
Drinkability/notes: Much better than I expected, Minhas did quite well with this. It would be nice to see this in six-packs.
Presentation: Packaged in a standard twelve=ounce aluminum can, served in a La Fin du Monde tulip. Beer number two from the Sam's Club Beer Advent calendar. 12/02/2022.
