Received a can from a friend 12-30-22. Best by 7-14-23; consumed 8-20-23.

Beer poured dark brown with a nice tan head that dissipated quickly. Floaties detected upon the post head fizzle.

Nose is definitely off, getting a sour smell mixed in with the chocolate malts.

Taste is a light malt base that contains some chocolate malts but something is off as i am getting some sour tang.

Mouthfeel is light for the style, light bodied and a tad watery.

Overall this one likely was not good to begin with and aging made it worse.

One of those that has prevalent alcohol taste, this one with a mix of cacao. Medium body, moderate carbonation with a bit of foam. Fells crude, not refined.

12oz can

On the poured 1 finger of dark tan fizzy head formed. The body is a cloudy dark brown woth floaters in it. Oh boy...

Smell is of chocolate and DMS. Sweet and savory again..

Taste is oddly boozy for the ABV up front before a light chocolate note comes in followed up by syrupy sweetness and DMS. A weird artificial coffee as well as vague sourness for the finish.

Feel is dry in the front and slippery in the back. Also this beer is rich in general.

Overall this was bad. It looks bad and it smells bad, and that made me honestly scared to try it. Honestly thinking about this becoming a drain pour which is uncharacteristic for me.

Murky brown color with a modest tan head that recedes fairly quickly, some bits of decent lacing. The aroma is sweet chocolate malt. The taste is the same, a litle on the mild side but not bad. The finish dries out a bit with just a touch of floral hops. The body is light, moderate carbonation, fairly smooth. Altogether this is a decent version of choclate stout.

12 oz can served in a Belgian snifter.

This dark brown stout is a shade lighter than usual for the style, and the body is thinner. Given this, it's not surprising that the flavor seems to be a little bit lacking in dark malts. There are ample amounts of both hops and chocolate. The beer improved considerably with some warming.
