got this at the Kum-n-Go in Iowa. never heard of it so i wanted to try something new. poured into the glass yellowish with almost no head. not much carbonation. smells almost sour and metal. taste was bad, real bad. bad aftertaste.
this is cheap but a must avoid! i threw out the remaining 9. yes, i forced myself through 2.5 of these to make sure i did not have a bad can and to see if it got better...it didn't.

6.2% ABV. Pours golden in color with a quickly dissipating head. Smells like a freshly cut fall apple. The taste is cloying, sweet and tart like an apple. This is a bad, high alcohol beer. I fear the Hiland Reserve at this point (it is 10% ABV).
Hiland is the store brand of the Kum & Go chain of convenience stores. This is one of their proprietary beers, all brewed by Minhas. They have a light, lager, the ice and the very high alcohol Reserve. This beer is only available at Kum & Go's in Iowa, Missouri and Nebraska.
