Tried a sample of this at Stew Leonards yesterday. It is your standard AAL. I would say a little worse than your average AAL in that their was a heaviness to the mouthfeel that was actually a little bit unpleasant.
I normally wouldn't review based on a small sample but the little bit that I had of this beer convinced me that I didn't need any more to get what is going on with this beer.

I tasted this beer for the first time this summer. Great story behind this product. BrewSA is a full bodied beer with great taste. I am not usually a beer drinker, but this is my new favorite beer. Great color, smell, taste with no bitter after taste.

Like to feel good about drinking a beer, and the veteran's giveback is a big positive. Good beer to have when you're hanging out with your friends at a tailgate, bbq, or watching a game.
Nice and smooth and no big aftertaste.
Worth a try for sure.

The details for this brew's brewery are few and far between. "Associated brewing company" and LLC are some key words thrown around if you look on the brewsa.com website. By all purposes, I believe this entry belongs here since Minhas was the one who brewed it.
Thanks to Eric for gifting this to me. 12oz twist off into a mug. The brew streams a clear golden yellow color with a rich 3 finger white topping that collapses to a silky finger of tight froth that maintains perfect retention from rising bubbles.
The aroma is sweet and almost candy like with a hint of fresh corn and cereal like your typical "premium lager." A trace amount of herbal quality and carbonic aspect is also present.
The flavor is sweet like candy corn with almost a fruity edge and some fresh cereal sort of grain character and the faintest touch of herbal hops before getting carbonic and slightly sulfuric. Typical flavor profile for the style with a contrasting bitterness that wants to show itself but hardly comes through. The aftertaste is candy-like.
This is a light bodied brew with a modest amount of carbonation. It is crisp and easy drinking with a peculiar aftertaste and lingering sweetness caught somewhere between candy corn and waxy plastic? It fits the bill for the style but not terribly enjoyable either. I like the concept of raising funds for troops but reading the website and trying to learn more about this beer just screams 'MURIKA to the point of almost being off-putting.
