L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a dark brown / black color and an opaque consistency. There was a half inch of creamy, tan-colored, fairly long-lasting head. Fantastic lacing.

S: A fair, but not spectacular, aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, a burnt quality, and some coffee.

T: Tasted of a bit of hops (mostly in the finish), a bunch of roasted malt, the aforementioned burnt quality, a tinge of coffee, light chocolate notes, a creamy quality, and a breadiness. Kind of an uneven flavor, one that could have used a little more oomph. Could have used a bit more coffee and chocolate.

F: A decent amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.

O: Not a bad beer at all, but it has some flaws. Worth a try, though.

Pours opaque dark brown in color with minimal. Taste is chocolate, roasted malt, and oat. Medium bodied, sweet, roasty, and light carbonation. An excellent example of the style. Should have gotten a six.

No bottling date that I can find.

A: Pours black with a very tall fizzy brown head. Head retention is decent, it sticks around for a while. No real sign of lacing however.

S: Hmph, smells like burnt toast and just a touch of chocolate.

T: Hmmm yup, more of the same. It's got a bitter charred toast flavor for sure but the sweet, creamy oatmeal helps balance it out quite a bit now. A little bit of dark chocolate in the finish rounds it out nicely.

M: Medium bodied, smooth and slightly creamy.

O: Interesting oatmeal stout. It kinda reminds me of an irish dry stout mixed with an oatmeal stout really. It's got that crisp dry bitterness with bits of char and chocolate that you'd expect from an irish stout - even the creaminess (except it's from the oatmeal). Good beer, not great but I thoroughly enjoyed it and would seek it out again.

From the bottle, it pours a very dark brown, almost black, with the barest hint of brown at the edges with a modest tan head that quickly reduces to a thin layer. Roasted malt with some cofffee in the nose, with a velvety smooth wash over the tongue and then the taste is roasted malt with some coffee. Really nice!

Thin, unbalanced, burnt. I best described this as tasting like a glass of milk that coffee grounds had been added to. Very disappointed, and have not yet had a beer from these guys I would recommend

Pours a dark brown, almost black color with a minimal head that rapidly fades away. Smell is roasted malt, hints of coffee and chocolate, slight note of something burnt. Taste is roasted malts, chocolate a little darker than milk, touch of coffee flavor to it. Slightly heavier than a medium body, but not overly filling. Light carbonation. It's a nice beer, nothing that will wow you but certainly nice to wind down a day with or enjoy with a meal. Actually has me thinking of sipping this around a fall campfire.

Yum! A small head, not particularly aromatic. Definite sweetness, very smooth and a little thick on the palate. Easy drinking! Not strongly bitter. Look for this one again.
Update: Second time around I got very strong burnt/coffee flavors, not entirely pleasant.
