Bought in a 4 pack from local grocery store. I hate to give a local brewery that makes some otherwise nice options a bad mark, but it is what it is....This, IMO, is some pretty nasty stuff. The reason my rating isn't lower is for the simple reasons that it looks and smells about what this style beer should be, so a few points for effort I suppose. The first beer out of the four was godaweful and damned boozy tasting, even considering the ABV. Thinking my tasted buds were a tick or two off I waited and had the second the next day. Damn! I think this sh*t is actually worse than I remember. So with that said: I couldn't bring my self to drainpour so I choked the other two down as nightcaps after a few beers the next week or so. Swing/miss, Studio.

This is not a very good beer. Bought it because I like Belgians and to buy local.

Smell ok but muted. An instantly disappearing head with no lacing. Looks like iced tea.

Taste is tolerable but the very flat mouthfeel makes it not so good.

Sorry I bought it and this is not the first flat studio beer I've had.

 

Ok so I guess this is supposed to be their offering up on a pedestal since it comes waxed? Pours an Amber hue, expected it to be darker with the label of Belgian Strong Dark. Had the highest expectations for this one and it is by far the worst.
