This is an APA, not an American IPA like they want you to call it. We don't have to make everything an IPA, people. It's a solid pale ale, which may be a style that isn't so popular right now but should always have a place in a brewer's lineup. This one is clear, nicely balanced, and not heavy despite the almost 7% ABV. It's just a touch hoppy, but balanced nicely by the malt so you don't get too much of any one flavor, and it doesn't have the dry aftertaste either. I'd get this again.

7/5/23 dated tall can.
Pours lighter and lightly hazed.
Lasting egg shell cap.
Mild sniff of malts and light resin.
Biscuity malts, again light resiny qualities, smooth finish with some honey and vanilla.
Nice everyday kinda APA….go get some

16oz canned 10-5-21, opened 10-31-21.
2 finger off-white rocky and dense head with excellent retention. Light lacing.
Glowing gold pale ale with good clarity and aggressive carbonation streams.
Clean nose of citrus, tropical, and pine aromas with a light caramel malt.
Orange, peach, some tropical fruit flavors in an APA that's almost an IPA.
Bright entry, light body with medium carbonation. Medium length finish with moderate bitterness and just a hint of sweetness
Very Good.

Im having this again now and maybe i got a weird can or something, im getting some weird funk at the end and im not into it. Definitely remember liking this the first time though. Very hoppy pale ale I'd still recommend I just dont know what's up with funkiness today.
Had this a 3rd time and it was better and what I remember from the first time lol.

Clear, pale yellow body; decent carbonation; thick and frothy white head. Somewhat dank and resinous aroma with a strong toasted malt note. The dank hop notes resonate throughout the taste; pine resin remains prominent while the toasted malt notes recede a bit; a mild note of citrus detected. Medium body; crisp and prickly on the palate; a slight touch of sticky residual sugar yet finishes bright and dry.
Colorado pale ale or old school west coast IPA? Well, the brewery named the beer but also provided the description, but this beer does have a bold, prominent old school hop character. My take - west coast IPA...

Had a pint for $7 at the brewpub 6-17-20 while having lunch with Da Boss.
Beer were served golden with a nice white head-4.0
Nose was dank, fresh citrus forward, very nice!-4.25
Taste was a light bodied pale malt base infused with a nice dose of grapefruit and pine. Finished like an IPA; 6/10 on my bitterness scale-4.0.
Mouthfeel was light bodied and crisp and clean. Finishes very refreshing4.25
Overall a very nice lighter IPA, very refreshing and tasty after a morning of hiking and the hour drive down from Fraser!-4.0
Can Review 6-18-20
Picked up a 4-Pack of CPA from the brewery for $15. Canned in late May.
Beer poured golden orange with a nice white head with the original pour-4.0.
Nose is very nice and dank; grapefruit forward with a slight touch of some peach and passion fruit-4.25.
Taste is coming across very well; dank with grapefruit leading the charge along with a touch of peach and maybe some mango. Finishes with a good dose of pine bitterness; 7/10 on my scale-4.25.
Mouthfeel is light bodied and very refreshing-4.25.
Overall a very good WCIPA, would recommend!-4.25.
Post note: i suspect given how young this brewery is the recipe has been revised, likely for the better!

Pretty bold to call this a "Colorado Pale Ale", as most breweries in other states would call this an "India Pale Ale." I mean hell, this puppy makes Lagunitas' New DogTown Pale Ale look like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.
And they say everything's bigger in Texas. Hah! Not the beer...
Pours like a normal pale ale. Amber-tinted yellow body; nice big fizzy white head, though retention isn't great. But it's clearly well-carbonated, which means this is going to be hella dry.
Dank aromas of basil, lavender, durian, hemp and pine, followed by hints of tropical mango, pineapple and orange. Basically a big, wet smack of citra hops.
And it is no less dank on the palate. Wow, you better love your IBU's to enjoy this one. Intense herbal notes of pine, basil, loroco, hemp and sage, barely sweetened by some fresh tropical fruit.
Crisp dry finish on this puppy too. Medium-light body with solid carbonation and a nice bite.
Colorado makes some seriously dank pale ales. Cheers!

this one sort of rides the line between ipa and pale ale, its really hop driven, still tries to be balanced, but overall is definitely not one of their best beers, its the belgian and wild ones that have impressed me most so far, not the hoppy stuff! it has a clear brassy look from the tap, not much head, but the bar was busy and i didnt see how long it sat there waiting for the server to bring it to me, could have dropped off over a few minutes. it smells like pine and a little bit of lemon cleaner, northwestern higher alpha hops, smells like pellets too though, green and vegetal, fresh enough, but also with some minerals or even metallics to it, not my usual cup of tea, but it gives it an almost english vibe, not sure what yeast they use, but thats how it presents itself in the nose. the flavor has a similarly tinny thing happening, not an off flavor necessarily, but not something i love in the style. there is a little malt sweetness too, but its bullied by the bitterness, which sets in early and stays late, piney and citrusy notes to the taste, but its the bitterness that stands out most. medium bodied but a little slow to drink on, and it doesnt warm up great. i had higher hopes for this given the recent awesomeness of the wild beers i have had from these guys, but it ends up being a pretty average high bitterness pale...
