The best of Bavaria in a glass…this Hefeweizen style is an easy drinking wheat beer with a nose of cloves, banana and citrus that finishes with wheat and citrus on the palate.

a little soapy tasting on the yeast here, sort of not quite rinsed all the way showery or something, but really fresh, and my palate gets used to it pretty quick, well before i put much of a dent in the 20 ounce pour. its really pale yellow, soft and inviting looking, hazy but without any visible sediment particles. the head is pure white and sturdy. smells a little like detergent, but i also get the lemon and banana aromas i look for in the style. the base is super light, pils and white wheat is all it seems, super mild and clean. less of the clove spice aspect to the yeast in the flavor, more of a floor cleaner thing going on, but its well enough diluted and the beer is incredibly light, so it ends up being not that big of a distraction for me. making a great hefeweizen is harder than people think, and this is a decent stab at it. certainly not the most compelling brew on their tap list, but something light and summery that should have fairly broad appeal. $7.50 for a glass of this is insane to me though. they were priced about 35% too high across the board. a gross overvaluation of the quality of their beer...
