Got a single from the Argonaut in Denver.
Poured into a goblet, it produces a dark brown body with dark caramel head, only a centimeter, which dissipates slowly to a ring of tan film around the glass. Lacing is not as profuse as expected; looking like little fluffy clouds floating across the glass.
Aromas of graham cracker, turbinado sugar, dark chocolate, coconut milk and cold-brewed coffee dance around the nose, leaving wispy trails of caramel, almond, ash and charcoal in their wake.
The chocolate and coconut milk are surprisingly dominant on the palate, with smoky charcoal, coffee, caramel and almond chirping in artfully. So incredibly smooth, and yet rich and flavorful. I could give it no less than a five.
Even a tiny sip of this nectar produces the impression of drinking a smooth dark chocolate coconut milkshake. Rich, but light and soft. Incredible.
This gives KBS a run for its money. Cheers!
