This one pours a dark golden brown color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like fruity liqueur and wine, caramel, creme brulee, sticky toffee, and oak.
This is different enough from the Bourbon BA Louie to make things intriguing. There's a lot of fruitiness to this, and the oak character seems softer. The base barleywine is still just so dynamite - with chocolate, toffee, caramel, and some vanilla (maybe that's the barrel, though.)
This is medium bodied, rich, just very slightly boozy, and fairly rich and just slightly creamy. It's about as smooth and silky as barleywine is possible being.
This whole set was so cool to have all together. If you're a barleywine lover, there's no way you're not liking this.
