This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and a bit of lacing.
This smells like slightly raw toasted coconut, roasted coffee, bitter malt, and dark chocolate.
Despite the new money flavor addition here, this isn't really reminiscent of a pastry stout. The coconut isn't super strong - it's definitely there, but it presents as a toasty and raw coconut sort of flavor, rather than purely sweet. There's lots of roasted malt, with some coffee flavors and dark chocolate as well.
This is medium bodied, creamy, with a slight bitterness, and no real booziness to it.
This is yet another tasty beverage from Westbound and Down. They can't miss for me.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a quarter finger high tan head that died down and left a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of toasted coconut are present in the nose along with hints of chocolate.
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of toasted coconut along with sweet notes of chocolate malts.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied and somewhat smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This stout has nice aromas and flavors of coconut and is very drinkable considering its strength.
Serving type: can
