This one pours a reddish-brown color, slightly dark, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like toasted biscuits, lightly sweet honey-like bready malt, a clean spicy bitterness, and some caramel.
This is really well done, as the sweetness is restrained but definitely a little bit here, with a hit of spicy hop bitterness cutting across the complex maltiness in the background.
This is lighter bodied, slightly creamy, with a nice smooth finish.
Westbound and Down nails barrel aged beers on the regular, but their lighter fare is also quite good.

A beautiful copper mug pour at the brewery that sports a two finger head of creamy off white foam. Beautiful sticky lacing appears as you drink it down. The smell is sweet bread and malt. The taste is dark bread with a little sticky and slightly sweet malt. A big bodied creamy feel that doesn't fill you up. It certainly checks the boxes for the style!

Revisited October 03rd, 2023 (BA online Oktoberfest tasting)
Pours a clear, light copper color, appears darker in the glass; dense, slow-rising carbonation; thick, frothy, off-white head, long lasting. Pleasantly soft sweetness with a light caramel note in the aroma; toasted grain. Excellent flavor; rich malt sweetness; caramel with roasted nut elements; bitterness appearance starts slowly and builds to a medium-light intensity at the finish. Medium body; smooth and velvety on the palate; light stickiness.
This sample is worlds apart from the beer I reviewed two years ago. The beer comes across fuller, richer, more rounded, and definitely way more satisfying.

Clear copper colored body; good carbonation; fairly thick head, white and lasting; thick, patchy globs of foam spot the glass. Not much smell noted; very, very faint toasted grain. Light toasted grain flavor with a very strong hop bitterness; very low malt sweetness; slightly phenolic. Medium body; semi-dry.
A fair if unexciting Oktoberfest beer. There is an unbalanced bitterness and bite to the beer while the malt backbone is somewhat weak.
