A true blend of threads, young and old. Amber strong ale fermented on our mixed-culture Solera strains in American Oak wine barrels for 2.5 years was then blended with batch 3 Solera Saison with a touch of 20-month-old golden sour stock for acidity and funk. Ultimately creating flavor with toffee, bread crust, funky peach and lemon zest.

This one pours a dark-ish golden brown color, with a small white head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like toasty malt, black cherry, oak, caramel, red wine, lemon zest, and breadiness.
This is one of the better versions of the style that I've had. There's a nice toasty and slightly sweet maltiness, with some nuttiness, bready, and caramel notes. There's a restrained and pleasant acidity, with lemon and red wine, and oak.
This is medium bodied, creamy, and quite drinkable.
Westbound and Down is more well known for their excellent stouts and barleywines, but they also do this sort of stuff as well.
