A blend of 10-, 12- and 15-month-old Imperial Oatmeal Stout, Double Absence and Abundance aged in Buffalo Trace, Blanton’s and Weller Bourbon barrels. Conveniently packaged in 8oz cans for the times when 8oz is enough.

poured (conveniently enough) from an 8oz can into a TG DBA tumbler. pours a fairly thick dark brown to near black with a finger of dark brown foam head. as it settles in the glass it’s appearance is more of a shiny black with the faintest lining of carbonation bubbles around the rim of the glass. chocolate, bourbon and oak on the nose. all very complimentary of one another. taste has a little more brown sugar, cola and dry oak in it than the nose suggests. medium-full mouthfeel leaning a little heavier on the finish with a kind of sticky feel to it. this was good. 8oz was enough but that would also be plenty for most imperial stouts.
