I had this beer poured from a pint can into a nonic glass at the Trapline Lounge in Yellowknife.
Appearance: pale orange hue with a moderate haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: kind of a bready, toasty malt aroma with some bitter orange peel hop character. Not bad.
Taste: like the aroma, bready with a rather pithy citrus peel character and a moderate bitterness for the style.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: reminds me of an early-2000s IPA. Not bad for what it is, but it wouldn't be a go-to.

Appearance - Pours a warm honey amber hue with three fingers of foamy white head. Dissipates quickly but leaves nice lacing on the glass.
Smell - Predominantly citrus and tropical fruits (orange, grapefruit, mango, pineapple), followed by herbal and floral notes. Bready malts and hints of caramel/honey are also present.
Taste - Moderately bitter tropical and citrus hops as noted above, with a strong supporting backbone from the bready malts. Touch of caramel sweetness lingers on the palate.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Sticky on the tongue.
Overall - I've been waiting to try a brew from NWT for a while and I'm glad this one came my way. Not too sweet, not too overly bitter. Great citrus hop flavour that will definitely keep the skeeters away. :P
