As our award winning (Canadian Beer Awards 2016, Bronze in Cream Ales) go-to beer, this light bodied, sessionable cream ale takes on a pale straw color with a white creamy head. It's perfectly balanced by a mild hop bitterness and solid Canadian malt backbone. It is hopped with a single variety known for its spicy and herbal characteristics that help to maintain a very classic taste. This light, crisp beer is perfect for those dry winter nights and hot summer days.

I had this beer on-tap in an imperial nonic at the Trapline Lounge in Yellowknife.

Appearance: medium golden hue with a mostly clear body and a finger of ivory foam atop.

Smell: malt is a little sweet and quite grainy; it's stylistically okay but not super smooth.

Taste: moderately sweet malt with a pronounced corny character. That's stylistically appropriate but just kinda over the top here. Bitterness relatively high.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: it's okay, but definitely not my favorite cream ale. I think this is a hard style to achieve the right balance, and NWT didn't quite get all the way there with this beer.

A quaffable beer, thanks RE for the beer and the warning. This was a certified tick to get an NWT. Not the worst beer I had this year thankfully.

Clear gold with a tall even head. Grassy, grainy nose. Light malt body, some cereal and grassy notes. Pleasantly effervescent and easy-drinking.
