Electric Raven Double IPA is a West Coast-style imperial IPA that packs a high-voltage punch. Dark gold in colour, it’s dangerously smooth with amped-up hop charges and a gentle warmth from its elevated alcohol content. Expect powerful bursts of resinous pine, bright citrus, and dried fruit.

Poured from 473mL can into a glass tumbler. No date on the can, but I bought the can right at the brewery in Yellowknife yesterday.
Appearance: medium orange-gold hue with a moderate haze and a finger of ivory foam atop.
Smell: plenty of sweet malt here, with a sort of candied-orange-peel aroma. It’s not bad, but it’s a little one-note. Kind of like the classic DIPAs of yore.
Taste: candy-sweet but with plenty of bitterness to back it up. Again, it’s got that candied orange peel thing going on. There’s definitely some booze in this one, though, and that shows up at the end. It’s not entirely my jam, but fans of 2000s American strong ales will like this.
Mouthfeel: medium body, just a little syrupy, with a moderate carbonation and decent creaminess.
Overall: it’s not too bad for a big, sweet, bitter DIPA. Like I said, I think fans of this type of beer might really like it.
