On a recent business trip, I visited this brewpub for dinner. It was mid-evening on a Tuesday, and the place seemed to be doing a good business. Located off a Main Street, there is reasonable parking. It looks like a storefront, but once inside, the bar and brewing equipment seem welcoming. I sat at the bar and struck up a conversation with other patrons. Very freiendly atmosphere. the beer was solid, but high in ABV. I had a BLT sandwich which was very good. I was impressed with this place. Local, well done, and interesting.

Nutmeg is a fairly new brewpub and started off making some really bad beer. The head brewer was inexperienced and has since left. They have a new brew staff and are making much better beer.
Their food is out of this world and I like being seated where I can watch the brewers.
Large enough space for an office get-to-gether. Open room with high ceilings give it a busy atmosphere.
Good selectio of beer that keeps getting better.

Usually only go here for their beer, but after my last experience I probably will look elsewhere. If you paid over $40 to fill 2-64oz growlers with a restaurants OWN beer, you would at least expect fresh beer. What I got was a 64oz growler of Peg Leg, and a 64oz growler of Ship Sinker, and it was awful. 0 carbonation , completely flat, no fizz, no head and this was right after getting home from the restaurant. I had maybe a half pint from each growler before pouring it all out.

I'm thinking that if I come back here in 6 months or a year and re-rate this place it will get better ratings across the board from me. Just saying, I think they're headed in a good direction.
