The BOB's beers are always fresh, crisp and light, with a certain sparkle to them. All approachable and sometimes off the wall, they all pair nicely with their quirky interest in pizza toppings.
They do anything from Thai Peanut, Italian Sub, and even dessert pizzas like roasted pear with pecan and caramel. Many of these pizzas are weekly specials that drop off the main menu, which includes your typical fare like pepperoni or sausage. They even do a towering Chicago style pizza, one of the only places in the state that does it authentically with a buttery, high walled crust in a pan that requires pliers.
The doughs for their regular pizzas are quite thick, but they have to be to stand up to the mounds of fresh, and often house-made toppings they like to use. Their brick oven is self-made and with a deft touch gives the crust a nice char and a good chew, but this is no pizza Napoletana. If you're looking for that thin, crackery crust, this is not that. But it doesn't have to be, these pizzas are delicious and satisfying, and the beers that go with them can be surprisingly refreshing.
