CAN
Milky brass with fading carpet of white that rims; coconut + mint leaf nose; Nilla wafer, some cantaloupe, an epic hit of toasty coconut, then hits of grapefruit, mango, pineapple, peach (esters?), pine sap + menthol with some dry hop grass to end; scratchy IBUs, clean.

Citra, Vic Secret
Wow. Not just coconut, but suntan lotion, Pina Colada levels of coconut.
If this was just the most coconut I’d ever tasted in a beer, that’d be something. But it’s as if the brewers did that Herculean task (coconut is tricky; this is on brand by having poor head retention) then asked themselves, “Now what’s the most interesting hop profile to balance it out?”
So, after the little fruit hit to start + the coconut hitting you on the head, you get waves of not just keeping-with-the-theme tropical fruit, but specks of dank + that signature Vic Secret aggressive herbal oil which work to balance things out beautifully.
I didn’t even get to this as soon as I should’ve + it’s still a banger.
A huge technical achievement, a lot of fun to drink + probably Superflux’s best beer, which is saying something.

L: Pours an opaque orange with a fluffy, frothy white head.
S: Very fruity, tropical aromas. Pineapple, coconut, mango, citrus - almost like an earthy pina colada. Smells pretty great.
T: Lots of tropical fruit up front, balanced against a hoppy, semi-bitter finish. Juicy. Prominent coconut flavour, which blends really well with the bitter hoppy flavours. Coconut and hops both become more pronounced as it warms, while the fruit mellows. Very well balanced.
F: Smooth, creamy, rich.
O: Very good. I've had a fair few coconut beers, but I usually find the flavour paired with stouts, dark ales, or porters. This is the first coconut/IPA combo I've had, and it works really well. I've been hearing about Superflux for a while now and my first experience with them did not disappoint.

Poured from a 473ml can. Coconuts is an IPA dry hopped heavily with Citra and Vic Secret and finished on coconut.
A: Opaque orange with a frothy but short-lived white head.
S: a big Coconut, pineapple, guava, citrus, tropical fruit nose.
T: Pineapple, coconut, citrus, pine, tropical fruit.
F: Full-bodied, chewy and creamy with a semi-sweet finish and moderate lingering hop bitterness.
O: A nice IPA not overpowered with Coconut.
