Blacklight is a collaboration brew with our friends at The Establishment Brewing Company. We had the idea to try and brew a beer using 100% hop extracts and oils so we put in a load of Citra Incognito, Citra YCH 702, Motueka SubZero Hop Kief, and Vic Secret Spectrum at different points in the brewing process.
Long story short, a 100% hop extract and oil beer didn't quite taste the way we wanted it to so we threw in a small (by our standards) dry hop of Citra T90 as well.
The end result is an extremely punchy and juicy beer with the most expressive flavour and aroma we think we've ever gotten in a pale ale. It's smooth, sweet and ultra drinkable. We taste big time notes of pineapple and orange juice.
