I visited Double Bluff Brewing today while checking out Whidbey Island. It’s a nice taproom, not necessarily small, but it has kind of a close-in, intimate vibe. I sat at the bar and it was pretty chill. Service was friendly if not chatty, and I never had to wait for a beverage. It looks like they don’t actually brew at this location — brewing is still done at the original location about a block away.
There were 9 of their beers on tap on my visit, with an interesting selection of styles: pilsner, altbier, weizenbock, double IPA, standard IPA, Belgian tripel, Kölsch, amber ale, and a saison they call Estonian Farmhouse. So, a reasonable number of taps for a small place, but a very interesting selection of styles indeed. The albier was quite decent and the tripel was really quite good.
