This beer was personally delivered to me in Oregon via Barcelona, via Belgium. Thank you Jose Jesus Guttierrez, the oldsky woldsky East L.A. playa.
A 33 cl stubby, a la Oly. The bottle has a brown label with a square containing a stylized red lion. Bottled in 06-01 ouch! Almost 5 years old!
The label says " Contient de la saccharine & Bevat sacharine" I am assuming this means, contains sugar, it is a Faro afterall, right?
DISCLAIMER: This beer was reviewed with my two best friends in the world. Jesse Guttierrez and Jason Tosch. We have not all been together in five years (coincidentally when this beer was brewed). We have been laughing non-stop for two days. My brain-stem is so full of happy love chemicals that no beer could be foul. We shared a six pack of this beer (Jesse is a huge fan) over Swedish pancakes (thin, sweet, crepe-like, cakes) real Michigan maple syrup, home made Oregon Marionberry preserves and clarified Minnesotan sweet creme butter.
A: A mid amber hue. Bubbles quickly dissipate into a slight permafoam. No haze to be found. It must be filtered.
S: Nice apple cider acidity mixed with a slight graham cracker malt sweetness. Warm, yeasty, earthy, bready aromas.
T: Sweet, with wonderful slight lactic, apple cider nuances. Malty, grainy, wheat.
M: Too soda pop in its presentation, but very nice blend of sweetness and acidity. The alcohol presence is negligible. Is this beer?
D: At 1.3% alcohol (no, it's not a typo) the whole six pack could have gone down without a struggle at my hand alone. The sweet maple syrup overshadows the otherwise overly sweet brew that this is.
This review is not only about beer, but about the reasons that life is so fucking precious - in its frailty.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
