Had it on draft at Chez Léon in Brussels, Belgium. Crisp, incredibly refreshing...was 6.5% not 7.0% as indicated here on BA. Light gold, fruity smell, very nice lacing, minimal head. Goes well with mussels and fries.

Served in a tall mug on draught at Cafe Leon in Brussels, Bière Léon is a clear gold with a white head that leaves light lace.
Smell is spritzy, floral, saison like, nice!
taste is sweet, some spices, and most interesting, a faint hint of smoke! Yeasty, with a smooth, subtle depth of flavor.
Mouthfeel is light and crisp.
Drinkability was good, a great pairing with their moules and frites!

This was the thalys' first class offering for the trip between brussels and amsterdam. provided this seemed like a mediocre beer commisioned for a restaurant (Léon de bruxelles, or chez leon in brussels)by alken-maes, i didn't expect much.
I was quite surprise and drank 4 on the ride. the pour was very clean golden with a small head and a lot of lacing. the smell very fruity, above all a clementine/orangey scent. the taste was predominantly sweet very fruity/citrusy follow-up and almost no bitterness to it. brilliantly carbonated. alcohol can't be felt nowhere but it hits you, especially in moving vehicles (ie the train). very nice beer for a while.
