Look: Poured a clear deep amber with a small white head
Smell: Roasted malts, caramel, ripe fruits and yeast
Taste: Sweet up front (candy sugar, fruit, caramel), light bitter metallic finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium carbonation, medium body
Overall: Nice to have tried this rare grimbergen beer.

S-Spicy phenols, malt, faint apple/pear esters.
A-Deep amber, clear, but the head was short lived. Simply a thin film across the surface of the beer.
Rich, creamy, little spicy, no bitterness, slightly dry finish...medium bodied. Very drinkable.
A friend brought it back from his study abroad trip to Europe. Came in a 25 cl bottle.

Beer bottle (25 cl.), tasted in dec. 2008 (same recipe as Christmas
draught version ?)
Appearance: amber/red color, with a white foam head (not persistent).
Smell : slightly spicy aromas.
Taste and mouthfeel : fruity, caramel malt and spicy, well balanced between sweetness and bitterness, slightly sweet in finish.
Drinkability: a good Christmas beer in the style Belgian Dubbel
