Picked up in Brugge at Delhaize, "gastronomisch bier" on the logo, reccommend to pair with fish. A quick check confirmed this is not the same as the regular Blond, slightly strong at 7.2%
Pours a brown-golden tone amber notes in the light, nice creamy fluffy white head, good lacing and body has nice streams of carbonation. The normal blond is much lighter in comparison
Smells of clove, apple, biscuit, yeast, bread, hint of pear, pepper, reminds me of a weizen beer. After several minutes, I find sour honey, and light citrus emerging. A sour, earthy note reminescent of rose or hibiscus adds a nice finishing touch.More pepper, and slightly less sweet than the normal Blond
Flavor of apple pear, peach, and rose upfront, finishes with a nice peppery/clove bite. Bit of white grape, cider, Tingling, and light phenols refresh the palate.Oak, and really nice creamy yeastiness. Caramel, toasted grain, and a hint of butterscotch come out after the intial fruit flavor. Light and crisp, I could see this holding its own against a Chardonnay for a fish dish.
Light, fruit/buttery/spicy-much better than the Original Blonde I must say.
I could create a dish around this, good brew.

Bottle from Delhaize in Brussels, bought 2011, opened 2011.
Look: Poured a orange golden color with a white head
Smell: Phenols, sweet caramel malts, yeast, grain, fruit and clove
Taste: Clove, banana, yeasts, sweet fruits, honey, light hoppy taste with a slight alcoholic bitter finish
Mouthfeel: High carbonation, medium bodied.
Overall: Nice to try, not more, not less. Expected a bit more maybe.

A orange golden beer with a smooth velvety head.
Smell is phenolic with hints of clove. The yeast adds a fruity smell that has pear drops, rosebuds, solvent and maybe a little peach or mango.
Taste is also dominated by a phenolic taste which reminds me most of a good weizen. Clove and some banana. The malt gives the beer a honey and bready taste. Bitterness is low and hops are barely tasted. The mouthfeel is good.
