Can you hear the bagpipes? Must be Monday night in Uxbridge – cheers to a Legion tradition. Rich British malts make soul-stirring music with a touch of spicy-earthy hops.

473 ml can served cold into a chalice. LCBO purchase for about $3.50 CDN. Canned November 5, 2020.

Appearance - Dark reddish brown color, good near two finger light tan head that recedes fairly slowly and good clarity.

Smell - Metallic initially, transitions to caramel and earthy hops with a touch of molasses.

Taste - Just like the nose, initially thin and metallic but as it warms, transforms into caramel, grain and even dark fruit flavors.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, carbonation is light and drinking is easy... once it warms.

Overall - Definitely a beer to sit out for a little while and warm up closer to room temperature to enjoy. AT cold temperatures, mediocre, but at warmer temperatures good flavors, aromas and drinkability and a pretty tasty Scottish Ale all in all. Worth a try at least.
