Deep burgundy brown; unfiltered, with a dense, creamy head. Complex, fruity, spicy aroma, featuring raisin, fig and banana with notes of clove and black pepper and a hint of freshly baked bread. Rich, warming dried fruit and spice flavours, minimal hop bitterness and a hint of malt sweetness. Long, balanced finish.

Certainly on the sweet side, but this hits the expected flavours and does it quite well. Better than I expected.

Bottle: Poured a clear brown/burgundy color ale with a medium size foamy head with average retention and limited lacing. Aroma of candi sugar with light dry fruits and caramelized malt is not bad. Taste is also a mix of residual candi sugar with some caramelized malt and some dry fruits. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Not bad but a bit short on attenuation and some grainy notes were also observable.
