22 ounce bottle into a chalice. Had 12/17/16.
Pours a mostly clear garnet color, with a short head and some loose lacing. Really good aroma- figs, dates, malt, purple grapes, plums, some red wine. The taste mostly follows the nose- plums, purple grapes, malt, figs, dates, red wine, some oak, raisins. Smooth, a good, but slightly lighter body for the style. Appropriate level of carbonation.
A well crafted and blended beer, enjoyable to drink. The wine barrels enhance the flavor and aroma of the base beer. Have one more bottle aging, we'll see how it goes.
