12oz can dated 02/15/19 poured into a pint glass shows a cloudy straw-yellow body and briefly floats a 1/2in head of fluffy white bubbles reduced to an edge-hugging ring with a thin cap of foam and leaves sheets of artistic lacing.
Aromas of flowery, tropical hops flow into the flavors for a pleasing taste and leaves a slight papaya aftertaste
Mouthfeel leans a lighter medium with an almost clean finish.
Overall an easy drinking 6.5% with great flavor and no head-splitting hop bitterness.

12 oz. can, drank by 10/28/22 on the bottom. 470 HOPPIN THICKE?
Another new one to me from Alter Brewing Company, this one classified as an Extra Pale ale, 6.50% abv listed on the can.
Poured to Central Waters snifter.
Light golden body, one finger of classical frothy white head, and some nice small sediment visible in the glass.
Aromas of pale bready malt, notes of lemongrass, orange, and horseradish. Smells fresh, floral, & appealing.
Tons of pale bready malt character, coupled with good lemony / grassy hop herbalness. It's pretty simple, if you ask me, but it hits it's mark. Lots of citrus & zest on the finish.
Smooth, crisp, crushable. Medium-light body with excellent carb. Definitely feels more like 5/5.50% abv.
Overall, an excellent pale from Alter.

Great pale ale, more on the traditional side. Hop forward, not overly fruity, crispy clear (thank god not another hazy…)
The smell has some kind of a funky side note, almost like a hint of cheese - other than that it‘s great, a real joy to drink.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from Binnys in Naperville IL. It poured a clear golden with thin white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had sweet ripe fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet tropical fruit presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

12 ounce can, best by date of 5/17/19. Poured into a tulip.
Pours a clearfolden yellow, some chill haze, off white head of half a inch. Good lacing.
Nose of pine, orange, grapefruit, graininess.
Light orange, grassy, pineapple, dankness and pine. Crackers too.
Light and not aggressive in any way. Crisp finish.
Easy drinking, classic flavors and tasty.

12oz can, best by 4/19/19. Mildly clouded orangy colored ale with a frothy off-white head. Aroma is quite muted, but mostly citrus and light caramel, maybe faint tropical fruit - mango, pineapple. Flavors are good; flavorful but not overbearing with notes of orange, mango, pineapple, modest pine, light caramel malt backbone. Medium body, slightly resinous, still quite creamy and smooth; moderate bitter finish. Very refreshing 'Extra Pale Ale'. Nothing too aggressive about it, making it easy to drink, and I appreciate that.
