BA Imperial Rye aged in Peerless Rye Whiskey barrels.
Not quite see-through rosy-orange, dark-amber colored body that really glows when backlit. A 1/4in cap of cream colored mixed bubbles disapates to an edge-hugging ring and leaves artistic lacing.
Aroma is a dark, short of smokey oak, rye, with a hint of molasses and grape must.
Flavors match. A rich melange of rye-spicy bite, vanilla, oak, and brown sugar. Complexity increases with warmth bringing some hints of stone fruit, char, and leather.
Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated adding to the rye spice bite, and clean.
Overall more than pleased with getting to try it.
