Taste: rich, dark tart cherries, big woody notes, slight sweet, chocolate malts, some cider, some acidic sourness, boozy, but airy finish. Oak smokey and tart cherry nose. Dark red brown hue, semi clear, with tan head and refined lattice of lace. Medium/full to full body. Complex sipper. 68 IBUs

Hap this on tap at the brewery. Was kinda looking forward to this but it seemed to be just okay. This a rye wine and imperial stout, aged in Buffalo Trace barrels, with re-fermented Montmorency cherries. The barrel aspects seems to be lacking a little both in the smell and taste. The cherries add some tartness to the beer but it's more dominant than I thought it would be.
