We wanted to make a high ABV dark lager for the fall and winter – enter the doppelbock. A brewer's favorite, this simple lager is all about classical roasted malt notes of nuts, biscuits, and freshly baked coffee-cake. Hints of oak from its 3 months of aging in the foeder emanate from the glass as it warms.

Had this on tap at the brewery. Nice dark brownish color on this one. You could really smell the malt in it. There was also some chocolate and nut in the aroma. The chocolate was present in the taste but so was a nice caramel flavor. I really liked the mouthfeel on this one, nice and smooth and full.
