Poured from undated can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. It pour almost ink black with a huge, rocky, tan/light brown head and lots of thick, clinging lacing. The smell includes chocolate malt, pine sap, lemon, and grapefruit. The taste offers fairly sweet, bready malt up front balanced by the bitter citrus of the Amarillo and Simcoe hops. The mouth feel is fairly thick and creamy ad it is easy to drink at % ABV.
