one of my favorites from our enjoyable visit to launch pad. this is actually an australian sparkling ale, not an american blonde, why do we not have a category listing for that style? i figured blonde was the next best? maybe an incorrect assumption. in any event, the beer is excellent, that classic aussie yeast dryness and subtle white wine fruitiness over a simple pale barley malt with a little bit of body for its low abv, really high carbonation, and a pride of ringwood sort of hop complexion, although im not sure what they actually use for hops here. grassy and lightly citrusy, like a subtle mix of something english and something southern hemisphere, but also with some needed bitterness. its crisp almost like a lager, easy drinking for summer, and is unique enough to be interesting. i am not sure why more breweries do not make one of these, its such a nice light beer alternative. overall i was really impressed with launch pad, far better than expectations for a place you never hear anything about...
