While passing through the area we detoured a bit from our route to pay his brewery a visit to try their beers and to have a late lunch. The brewery opened in the summer of 2016. There was only one other customer on a Sunday mid-afternoon. This brewpub is located in a storefront setting along the main street in a very small town off the beaten path. A couple of picnic tables were sitting next to the building. The interior has okay vibe to it, and service was great with no customers around. We chose to sit at the bar (5 stools) and chat with the other customer and the bartender.
We ordered a sampler flight of 8 of their 10 available beers to evaluate them. (There are 12 taps, and the two non-beer guest taps have either a cider or a mead.) All of the beers were brewed to style, and we rated them from 3.0 to 4.0 (out of 5), although only one had the 3.0 score and the rest of them were rated 3.5 to 4.0. The only 4.0 beer was the Hilliard's Brown Ale, and the 3.0 beer was the Postmaster's Pale Ale. The rest had a 3.5 or 3.75 rating. Overall, they earned a B-minus grade.
The food menu is limited, but adequate for pub food. The pub offers howlers and growlers of the beers to go. This place is worthy of a visit, but don't go too far out of your way to get here.

I love that this little place is so far from seemingly everything (at least from the route that I have to take). The staff is family and the brews are great, as well are the pulled pork tacos.

Nice, small midwest craft brewery with surprisingly solid beers. Located in the tiny town of Laotto, in a great old building, part of which used to be a bank, complete with the original tin ceiling and vault. Laid back, small town midwest vibe which I like, being a small town, midwest guy.
Beers I tried were all solid. Tried the Raygun Double IPA, the Great Black IPA, and the Hammonds #2 Imperial Amber. All were very well done. My wife really enjoyed her Saison also. Really was not expecting beers as good as these, but was pleasantly surprised at the quality.
Food , while limited was very good as well. All meat purchased locally from Laotto meats. My burger was well above average, and my wife loved her cajun chicken salad sandwich.
All in all a very nice visit (our server and one of the owners were great to talk to), and a place i will re-visit very soon
