Look: The color is a dark amber. It pours with a medium-sized head, which mostly dissipates (a little foaminess remains). There is light lacing.
Smell: sweet citrus and a little pine nut
Taste: It's a little bit bitter for an American Pale Ale - approaching the bitterness of IPAs and a little more bitter than I would expect from the smell. But it's not too bitter. Semi-bitter citrus comes through strongly in the taste, with traces of pine nut.
Feel - medium bodied and medium carbonation
Overall: I'm used to American pale ales from the American west coast, and if someone told me this was a Californian craft beer, I'd believe it. The beer has the same semi-bitter citrus hops quality. I think this beer can go head-to-head with good APAs brewed in the USA. It's a good representation of the style, in my opinion.
