This is more a review of the bar side of Fat Patties as I cannot review Salt Marsh Brewing per se. Big open area above the bar surrounded by tables. Doing a thriving business for 2pm on a Sunday with the local arts festival going on. Bartender didnt really seem concerend about anyone at the bar. 30 taps-15 of which were Salt Marsh brewing beers and then 15 guest taps. I had a very solid helles and a very good IPA. Tried the stout which was a bit watery and thin. Was there for the beers as we had just had lunch downtown. Would go back for sure. May have been an off day to sit at the bar.....

Vibe: I had lunch at the Fat Patties the day after Christmas. Although the place was very crowded, I only had to wait about five minutes to get a table as there was an ample amount of indoor and outdoor seating. A bluegrass band was playing in the outside beer garden. The restaurant is also good for kids and has an outdoor play area.

Quality: Beers were served at the proper temperature using a variety of glassware (pint, flute, tulip, and pilsener).

Service: The wait staff came around pretty often considering how crowded the place was. I'm not sure how knowledgeable they were on the beers, but they gave out a detailed list of all of the drafts, including the brewery, location, style, abv, and serving size.

Selection: With 30 beers on-tap, the selection was very impressive. A number of these were breweries from the surrounding area in South Carolina and Georgia (Cooper River Brewing, Freehouse, Holy City, Jekyll, Palmetto, Revelry, River Dog, and Westbrook). There were also a few beers on-tap from Salt Marsh Brewing, which is brewed upstairs). Growler fills were available.

Food: I had the Holy Cow burger with sausage gravy and cheddar cheese and it was pretty tasty. I liked how they had over a dozen different types of combinations of ingredients for your "patty" and you also had a choice of meat (grass fed beef, chicken, bacon, turkey, shrimp, and black bean).
