L- Pours pitch black with a perfectly formed 1Cm thick very dark tan fine-bubble head, which is holding up very well. Very impressive and uncommon to see such perfection, it's like a stereotype TV-advert perfect glass of stout.
S- Deeply roasty-toasty, possibly a brief coffee note, maybe a tiny hint of smoke.
T- Deep roasty-toasty and yes a kind of charred-log aspect here, yep imagined as if you were to lick such a log! Wouldn't mind a bit more detail perhaps.
F- It's around medium-dry on the scale. No overt rich/sweetness, and no hard-core withering hop load either. It's pleasant enough to even be a sessionable beer.
O- Very nice easy-going and well balanced beer. Nothing to offend and enough detail to hold the interest. Would I drink again - yep. Buy more a £2.50/330ml can? Hmmm - less likely. BB: 25/10/22. Contains: barley, wheat + oats.
Bought from Bacchanalia, Mill Road, Cambridge.

Can. Almost black with a mountainous, dense, frothy, tan head which subsides over time leaving some decent lacing.
Vibrant aroma of roasted malt. Medium coffee with hints of vanilla.
Tastes of lightly charred wholemeal bread, coffee, nuts and brownies.
Well carbonated yet smooth.
Rather tasty.
