A true German Marzen style lager, most commonly referred to as an Oktoberfest. Nice and malty, with a hint of hops. Brewed with North Dakota grown 2-row malted barley along with Germany's finest Munich Malt and finished off with German grown hops. Put on your Lederhosen... Raise your mug and be merry because it's OKTOBERFEST!!!

12oz can. No dating information found, but this is this year's seasonal release.
Clear, pale amber colored body. Thin finger of off white head with the pour, but this recedes away to a surface skim. Leaves behind some very small spots of lacing.
Aroma is bready malt, with a touch of hops.
Taste is bready malt which is slightly sweet, with a spicy bite of hops. Mostly malts in the aftertaste, which are earthy.
Medium mouth feel. A little muddy in expression. Lacks extreme crispness. Okay carbonation.
Decent beer for the season, but just okay.

I stopped into a small town liquor store while crossing North Dakota and bought a 6 pack.

Aroma is malty, bready, earthy, with indistinct fruit.

Tall off-white head, thick and creamy, recedes slowly above a clear amber body with a good level of carbonation. Good look for the style.

The taste is malt-forward, bread, toast, not at all sweet, earthy, with some bitterness that occurs in the middle and lingers into the finish and aftertaste.

Body is medium, appropriate for the style.

A decent Okto/Märzen. And enjoyable. And I'm glad I bought it.
