Smooth, decidedly drinkable and surprisingly light, triple award winning Malt Dark Ale is distinctively different. Deep, dark brown in colour, it’s a very mellow ale and is delightful with a cheese board. It also makes great Steak & Ale pies!

From a 500ml bottle. Sediment left in the bottle.
L: Very dark brown with ruby and amber edging. No carbonation. No lacing. Half finger, off-white head disappears quickly.
S: Toasted malt. Sweet and moreish.
T: Sweet caramel with malted chocolate aftertaste. It's all malt, very little hops.
F: Very light. Just a hint of carbonation. Reasonable body, not watery. Very low bitterness.
O: If you like mild, this is not bad. It's smooth and malty with a very low ABV and no bloating. It's an old-school session ale.
