Back Pedal Brewing Co

an interesting little place here, relatively new, with a tiny bar that might only seat five or six guests, but we were the only ones in here, so it felt cozy after the party bus bike thing left. they had only a very few beers of their own on, apparently quite a few more nearly ready, but business had been picking up and there might only have had three of their own on. some cool guest taps, and the stuff we had was great. i had a belgian brown with raspberries and an ipa, both were distinct and well made, really good hangover fixes! the space is cool sort of minimalist, like a big garage in front and then some high tables in the back with a few to the very compact brew house on the side there. the best part about this place was the service. the dudes behind the bar were really friendly and helpful, beer knowledgeable, and just a real joy to chat with. we were there for a long time just shooting the breeze with them. i wished they had more beers on, as the only ones they did were very good. i guess it gives me another reason to go back. this place is right next to ten barrel and rogue there, so its a good place to visit when making the rounds, but also a nice contrast, being such a small and humble operation. well worth a visit.
