1 month old bottle into a hefe glass. OK head, fairly white, good soap factor, falls really quickly though. The nose is fairly muted but I get oatmeal, lots of milk chocolate, a touch of honey and cherry. The flavor is full of roast and coffee, a touch of toffee, but surprisingly not much oat. It finishes on a long woody roasted note that hints at oat but doesn't center it. The body is very clean, no sickness, and pleasantly dry.
I have had better oat stouts but this is a more dry roasted take on a style of stout that is traditionally sweeter and more breakfast oriented.
