Aged in virgin oak with Cabernet wine must. This version of our Imperial Stout exudes the intricacies of new oak. Classic stout characteristics meld into a mellow acidity, a berry presence, and tannic finish.

tried a sample, but did not order. Have tried many barrel-aged beers, Gin, White Wine, Red Wine and Rum. I really love the bourbon barrel-aged the best. The Rum barrel-aged ones are also good. So far this is the only Red Wine barrel-aged one that I like, but it's only the 4th one I've tried. The tannins in the wine come through the beer which I'm not a fan of with the hops. Though this one is quite mild on the finish, which is good. Rated 12-23-2018
