Visited on a Sunday evening for beer and food. The food choices were provided by Bear's BBQ who shares the space. The BBQ was excellent: we had ribs and brisket with 2 sides and [sweet] cornbread. My wife, who is picky about her ribs, contemplated getting a 2nd order of them. They had 9 beers and 2 ciders on tap. Four of the beers were tried and all were good or better.
Relaxing and chill vibe with a large outdoor area available in addition to the small main pub and larger covered patio.

Da Boss and i visited Bear's Smokehouse, which is their food partner, for lunch and a pint on 3-25-2022. Have always seen SCB beers at the local grocer but have been trying the more highly rated brews from the locals so have not gotten around to trying them yet but have to believe going in SCB has to be fundamentally good to survive the competitive market here in Western NC.
SCB is located in a small strip mall on a semi busy road in South Asheville. Taproom is small but has a nice rustic feel with a bar ordering area and a small group of tables inside the taproom with 20 tables or so in an inside/outside convertible area that serves both the brewery and Bear's.
Quality of the beer is pretty good. Da Boss liked her hazy IPA and my Dunkelweizen was okay but nothing great.
Bartender was nice, thinking maybe part of ownership, as we had a discussion about one of my neighbor's son being now a former brewer for SCB who has moved onto Wicked Weed.
Selection was roughly a dozen beers and i think they had a cider too.
Bear's BBQ was fantastic, best brisket i ever had and the Texas Sausage was awesome as well.
Overall a nice stop to have some great BBQ and a solid pint.

Was able to relax outside at this place (I think it was only outdoor seating due to COVID). Remember having a beer and enjoying the chill vibe that's a little different from downtown Asheville. Didn't get any food but the beer I had was enjoyable, although I wish they had a little more variance of styles.

Can be somewhat tricky to find, only because their sign is a little smaller than the ones above it, but it's a cozy little neighborhood hang, in an almost rural vibe and is a nice break from the busy Biltmore/downtown All area and all the crowds of tourists. Super casual vibe, hotdog/picnic laid back feel, with several GREAT BEERS. The Pilsner, Kolsch, Brown, Pale, are all excellent/true to style, and the Spruce Tip is a must try wheat ale . Mostly loaded hot dog oriented menu, but very cool folks and a relaxing place to have some chill time and F'n GREAT BEERS. Led Zeppelin tunes always a win with cold Kolsch/Pils/Brown. Not the largest selection, but certainly enough for a drop-in, and the beer is GREAT!

Small place tucked behind a little strip of retail shops. Taproom has small bar that seats about 8 and a few tables scattered about the room. Only 6 beers on tap, the 2 I had were solid. Service was friendly, did not try the food.

Nice little place just south of Asheville, a little off the beaten path ( but not too far from home, so a plus for me). A little tasting room with some tables and chairs and a small bar, but lots more outdoor seating and a nice size yard next to the building. I was in on a late Friday afternoon, and it wasn't packed, but steady, so a pretty good sign. The beers all seemed to be solid and well made, at least the ones I tried. Service was friendly and attentive, and though they don't do flights or samplers, they will let you try anything if you have fear of comittment. I didn't try the food so I won't comment, but it is available. I also did not use the restroom, which I also like to comment on when judging the quality of a new place. All and all an enjoyable visit, and can definitely see returning to this one in the near future.

This small brewery was a nice stop. It's a small tasting room, but there is ample outside space, with picnic benches and a big grassy backyard. Pet friendly of course, in fact, they have a dog there, who is very docile, though chances are she will stare you down relentlessly when your food comes to the table. I stopped in around lunch time, and there were maybe 5 other people that came in and out during my stay. Despite this, the bartender was pretty lousy, often just disappearing for large chunks of time, leaving the bar completely unattended.
As for the beer, there weren't many selections, but there were good selections. They don't do samplers, which stinks, but they do half-pours, which at least gives you the option to try a few beers without getting loaded. My favorite from what I tried was the Raspberry Vanilla Stout, which was well done. The IPAs were on point as well. Food is limited, and made in a small sandwich shop adjacent to the tasting room.
I almost passed this place over, but ultimately I'm glad I checked them out.

5 house Taps, 4 guest taps including a cider. 8 - 9 seats at bar, 20 or so at tables. Sandwich shop on premises, 10 item menus looks interesting.
