Visited in the summer of 2022 with my wife. Love this brewery, small but with a large outside sitting area. Service was amazing, bartender being a huge Steelers fan was a plus. Their beers are above average with a mixed selection of styles.

Of all the breweries along the Garden State, this place, by far has the overall best quality in taste, selection and service. Staff is always attentive (friendly as well).....best kept secret in S. NJ!!!

Updated review on 7/1/2023. Slack Tide opened its new location on Route 9, less than a mile from the old site, yesterday. It's a newly-constructed, free-standing building on a large lot. There is significantly more production space and the the tasting room is much bigger than its predecessor. It's light and airy but surprisingly intimate. The decor is consistent with the prior space which is a nice touch. There is also abundant outdoor seating and parking. During my visit a band was performing and the food truck was enormous. The crowd of locals and summer visitors was big and enthusiastic. I don't expect there to always be so many patrons. The staff is friendly and efficient. As always, the beer is very good with lots of bottles and cans to go. This new phase for Slack Tide promises to be exciting.

Small but nicely decorated tasting room (sucker for nautical decor), nice seating area in the workspace in the back. Would like a little more variety, as ample hoppy beers were available and only a few more mellow styles.
