Underrated marzen.
Poured from a can into a tulip glass. Orangish golden clear brown color with good initial head and nice curtain lacing. Smell and taste of caramel and sweet apples. Actually quite flavorful. Full feel for the style. This is a eer I would buy again and would like to try from tap.
First Octoberfest of the season!

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear deep amber color with a one finger head of off-white foam. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a decent sum of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is rather strong of a lightly toasted bready smell mixed with aromas of some harvest fruits of apple and pear. Along with these smells comes aromas of molasses and caramel as well as a touch of a hay and light earthy smell.
Taste – The taste begins with nice smooth lightly toasted malty flavor that is hoisted up by some sweeter tastes of caramel, toffee, and a light molasses. These flavors at the start create a base taste for the brew and last throughout. At the front there is a touch of a light fruit taste of apricot, which fades as the taste advances. All the while the taste takes on more grainy flavors as well as a touch of grass and hay, leaving one with a smooth, sweet, and lightly toasted bready taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness with a carbonation level that is slightly lower. For the nice lightly toasted bready and sweeter tastes of the brew the feel is great and makes this one a nice sipper for a fall day.
Overall – A rather enjoyable and flavorful Oktoberfest brew. I was rather impressed by the well-balanced tastes and very complementing feel. Prost!
