Reviewed less than a week after canning. Poured into a nonic pint glass. It pours a hazy, reddish-orange color akin to iced tea and sports a finger and a half of creamy, ecru-colored had and lacing. Its smell is rather subdued but offers scents of caramel malt, lite citrus, stone fruit, and floral hops. The taste provides a good balance of caramel malt, earthy, woodsy malt, dry barley cracker, lemon peel, grapefruit, and just a hint of sweeter stone fruit. The Falconer's Flight hops provide mild, clean bitterness throughout. This ale is fairly lite and crisp with appropriate carbonation, and at 7% ABV it is very easy to drink. Overall, Can I Kick It? is a simple recipe but it's well-executed. Not enough brewers make this style, which I always welcome.

A: hazy pale ruby red color with some light purple notes
S: herbal hops, apricot and mango. Fresh dough and dry crackers
T: faint apricot, big caramel malts, a hint of toasted malts as well. A nice earthy depth to this as well. Subtle grassy taste in here as well with a very very faint hint of cocoa(perhaps from the toasted Malts)
M: medium mouthfeel with an average carbonation level - to keep it at a nice level for a red
O: this is a nice mix of malt and hops. Malts outshine the hops a little bit, but there are enough hops to balance out the sweetness. Solid beer for the style
