Pint on draught at the brewery. It pours a turbid, dirty golden-yellow color with a half finger of creamy, milk-white head and thick, clinging lacing inside the glass. It boasts a fruity and fragrant nose with bright lemon, tangerine, pineapple, honeydew melon, and lite, floral hops. The taste opens with a nice balance of dry, bitter hops and citrus - both tart and sweet. There is lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, and pineapple courtesy of the Citra, Simcoe, and Azacca hops. There is also wheat cracker that provides additional body and sweetness. It finishes with increasing bitterness. and a hearty bite. The mouthfeel is thick and creamy with pleasant carbonation, and the 7.7% ABV gives it good substance. Overall, Karate Pancakes is another excellent American IPA from Twin Elephant; it's well-balanced with lots of flavor and very drinkable. Who can ask for more?

Appearance: hazy and cloudy golden yellow color with a 2" head that slowly fell to a thick covering.
Smell: tropical fruits and a bit of earthy tones were in the aroma.
Taste: caramel, mango, pineapple, grapefruit, some biscuit, and a moderate earthy finish.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Crisp throughout.
Overall: a very tasty IPA that was nicely refreshing too. Well balanced between tropical fruit flavor and hop bitterness.
