I had this on draught at the brewery. 16 oz. pour served in a pint glass. It pours a cloudy, almost turbid golden apricot color with a finger of foamy, milk-white head and soapy lacing. It has a fragrant nose featuring tangerine, mango, lemon peel, a whiff of onion, and floral hops. The taste isn't as sweet or fruity as the nose; it features bitter lemon, cracker malt, and pine needles, with a peppery, slightly astringent, finish. This ale is medium-bodied, with pleasant carbonation, crisp and dry, and easily drinkable with its temperate ABV of 5.5% Overall, this is an easy drinking and pleasant APA but its taste is rather one-dimensional and it doesn't have the depth of some of its local rivals or even its stable mate, Lil' Shimmy Ye.
